Warrior overview
The Warrior starts with Cleave and 230 health, the third-highest pool in the roster. Everything it does happens close to the body, so it rewards walking into the edge of a pack and turning before you are surrounded. Bloodthirst heals for half of the damage it deals, which gives the class real sustain once it shows up on a card.
Strengths
- High starting health (230)
- Cleave and Whirlwind hit groups from the first minutes
- Bloodthirst heals for 50% of its damage
- Protection talents raise the damage-reduction cap from 60% to 70%
Watch out for
- Must stand next to enemies to deal damage
- Ranged casters and fast packs can chip you while you chase
- Few ways to escape once fully surrounded
From our playtest
Our first blind Human Warrior run in Elwynn Forest lasted 2:44 and reached level 13 with 356 kills before a wolf pack ("A pack hunts you!") caught us in the open. It earned 69 talent experience.
Warrior spell pool
Every level-up deals three cards. A new spell card takes one of your 6 spell slots; an upgrade card improves a spell you already know and ranks it up. Card rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary) decides how strong the bonus is. These are the 11 spells the Warrior can be offered:
- CleaveStarting spell
- WhirlwindEarly pick
- Thunder ClapEarly pick
- Mortal StrikeEarly pick
- Execute
- Demoralizing Shout
- Battle ShoutEarly pick
- BloodthirstEarly pick
- Rend
- Shield Slam
- Bloodrage
Early picks are our suggestions for a first run. Spells cast on their own: you only move, and each spell fires when it is off cooldown and enemies are in range.
Warrior talent trees
Talents are permanent and per class. Every run pays your Warriors talent experience (time survived, kills, bosses, a win, and more in harder zones); the first point arrives at 80 experience and a class can earn 51 points. A new row opens for every 5 points spent in a tree, and the milestones at 10, 20 and 30 points change how your spells behave. Respecs are free, and the Armory keeps three specs.
Values written as X grow with each rank; the game shows the exact number when you point at a talent. Use theWarrior talent calculator to plan points.

Where each tier drops: gear and drop tables.
A first Warrior run
Walk along the outside of the crowd instead of through it. Take Whirlwind or Thunder Clap when offered, upgrade Cleave with high-rarity cards, and grab Bloodthirst for healing.
Pick a race from the list above, enter Elwynn Forest, and aim to see the first boss, Hogger, at 3:00. Even a short run pays talent experience. Compare with the other classes: Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Druid.
